Ken was up very early but I only got up at 6:30. It was rainy lightly, but we decided to take a walk anyway! It was rather humid already, but it felt good to be outside. We spent time picking up trash, mostly candy wrappers from the parade - really???? Why can't people take their trash with them instead of leaving it along the sidewalk????
We cooked breakfast and then it was shower time. We made numerous trips to Wilbur loading items for this trip and for our 1 week trip. We return from this adventure on Sunday afternoon and then leave 1st thing Tuesday morning for Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay. Cindy and John will spend that week with us. It will be a lot of fun!
After lunch, Ken and I went to Masonic Village and played 5 games of Pinochle with Mom and Dad. The women won 3 and the men 2. Finally the women were the winners for the day - it has been awhile since that has happened! Mom and Dad were in great spirits and we had a fun time. It is hard to imagine that they have been there 7 years the end of this month. Although Dad can no longer walk (he has an electric wheelchair) in general he is in better health than when they moved there. It is amazing!
We were back home by 5 and started the refrig in Wilbur. After a delicious grilled dinner, we spent the evening relaxing. We were supposed to play pickleball with Dan and Jackie this morning, but that didn't happen because of the rain. Then we planned to play this evening, but it will still drizzling, so no go! We hope to play with them on Monday morning between our trips if the weather cooperates!
We were in bed by 9:30 and excited to head out tomorrow morning to meet about 25 camping couples from our church. So far we only know one of the couples, Eddie and Lori from our Life Group. It should be a fun weekend!
