Ken left to have breakfast with Gary and I had breakfast and did my morning routine. At 9:00 Ken was back home and we got ready to meet Cindy and John at the pickleball courts.
At about the time we needed to leave, it was raining, so after talking with Cindy, we decided to check with each other around 10:30 to decide if playing today was a possibility. It appeared that we would have a "window of opportunity" with no rain for about 1 1/2 hours after 11.
So, the 4 of us met at the courts at 11 and sure enough, it started to "drip" just about the time we arrived. We decided to play anyway, since the courts were not slippery and we were all excited to get some exercise. The rain continue to increase and after about 45 minutes, we were all fairly wet!
The 4 of us went back to our apartment to play Skip-Bo, John's choice. Of course, we only played about 20 minutes until the sun appeared. Cindy and I both said we would be willing to go back to the courts, so we stopped our card playing and headed back to the courts. There were a few "drops" when we arrived, but then the sun came out and it was the perfect weather for pickleball playing! We played about 1 1/2 hours and then returned to the apartment to finish Skip-Bo, which the men won. Did I ever mention that I really dislike that game!!!!!! After 1 round of Hand and Foot, which the men won, Cindy and John headed home. By then it was 4:45 and we certainly had a wonderful time together.
After dinner, we took a walk downtown and then did some more work on choosing photos of our trips that we want to hang in the apartment. We were in bed by 9:30.
