Ken and I were up at 6:45 (after an extra hour's sleep) and slowly got ready to go to Church before our departure today. We made a cooked breakfast and by 8:40 the 4 of us were on our way to the Church were Tafanie and Crystal's families attend. It was a very inspirations service with good music and excellent sermon. A very relaxed service. All the families got together for hugs and good-byes after the service and the 4 of us were on our way back to the CG by 10:45. We did make a quick stop at Kroegers for a few needed groceries.
After final preparations for our departure and hooking up the CRV's we were leaving Stone Mountain Park at noon. It was a relatively easy 178 mile drive today on Interstates, except for some rain. We did stop for gas at a Pilot, but other than that, we kept driving. We ate our lunches while we were traveling.
We got to Wanee RV Park near Ashburn, GA at 3:10 and it was 78 degrees. Wow! I have been waiting for warmer weather and we have finally found it! We got pull thru sites and were able to keep the car connected. Ken and I did have to put boards under the tires on the driver's side to get level, but not a problem. We were set-up quickly (really got only the minimal things out for our 1 night stay) and started watching football. Ken got up to date on Facebook while I worked on the blog. Then he took a nap and I checked out Pinterest
It is time to start watching what we eat. Our time in Nashville and Atlanta was wonderful, but we definitely had too much to eat. Also, we only have a little less than 3 weeks before we head back to PA and since Waldo is staying at Lazydays, we have to empty the refrigerator and freezer. Time to "work down" the food inventory! So tonight we had a Cafe Steamer and salad.
It really rained from 6:15 to 7. Chuck and Melissa came over to Waldo at 7:15 and we chatted while waiting for the Denver vs. Green Bay game to begin. I was really excited to see the game since I am such a Peyton Manning fan. Chuck and Melissa like him too because he was the quarterback at Tennessee once upon a time.
Jamie called about the time Chuck and Melissa had arrived and I talked with her for about 20 minutes. Her household has been so busy this week as they re-adjust to their hectic swim team practice schedule. It involves both Bria ad Cali and they have practice 5 nights a week. Also, Jamie has started painting all the trim in their house while the girls are at school. They are all doing well, just busy!
While watching the football game, the 4 of us played Skip-Bo and Pinochle and the men won both rather handily. Of course, they did drive today!!!!
They left at 10, Ken went to bed to read, and I continued watching the game. We are planning to leave tomorrow at 8 AM for Carrabell, FL. Warm weather, here I come!!!!
