Ken and I were both up at 5:30 and by 6:30 I was driving to Ephrata to have breakfast with my Curvette ladies. Marcia brought us up to date on her father who is in the hospital after falling early Monday morning. He has no major injuries, but will now be moved to the nursing care area of Ephrata Manor. Her father and the family all agree that this is the right move!
Following breakfast, I met Ken at the storage area for Wilbur so we could get some larger items out of the "basement" and I went through some things in the bathroom and bedroom to bring home or pack for Florida. We stopped at Martins to drop off our windscreen and our large outdoor rug and then at Jamie's to give them our folding ladder (no need for any of these items!). We were back home around 10:30 and drove to Costco for a few things that we needed. While there we had a nice visit with Neil and Nancy Savage, fellow campers who are full-timers. So good to see them and chat about what is going on in our lives.
When we got home, Ken decided to read and then go for a long walk. For some reason, I felt extremely tired, so after doing my devotions I took a rather long nap. We made pizza and salads for dinner and then left at 6:15 to got to Lancaster Church of the Brethren for a concert by their contemporary music director to honor the songs of Keith Green, one of Ken's favorite Christian singers in the 70's. The gentleman who played his guitar and sang was amazing and the offering taken was for a mission trip at the church. They collected about $2,500. Dave and Jean Hosler were there (Ken's 2nd cousin) and we had the opportunity to talk with them during intermission and after the concert.
We were home by 9:30 and it started to "pour" almost as soon as we got in the door.
