Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Mostly Cloudy and Cool!

Ken and I planned to take a walk Friday morning but once again, it decided to rain.  So, Ken spent most of his time on the computer and phone doing some additional details for our closing in Florida.  All is progressing nicely but there are so many details and he has done a great job of staying "on top" of everything.  I finished cleaning the apartment.

After lunch we drove to Masonic Village to spend the afternoon playing Pinochle with mom and dad.  We had a fun afternoon, but certainly not a good day for the ladies.  We lost all four games - for some reason we just got lousy cards!

We left there around 4:30 and by then it had warmed up abit and the sun was shining off and on.  So, we decided to walk downtown for 2nd Friday when most of the shops are open and there are people playing music throughout town.  We were surprised that it was not very crowded.  We were back home by 7:15 and spent the rest of the evening relaxing.  It was a good day.

Saturday was another rather cool and mostly cloudy day - we definitely need some sunshine.  We drove to Ephrata to pick-up our Civic which they just finished replacing all the windows from the metal dust that had covered it while we were in Florida.  On the way, we stopped at Gus's for a delicious breakfast.  After getting the car we picked up some fruit at a roadside stand.

Upon our return Ken went to get flowers for the girls for Mother's Day (and for me!) and then to talk with the couple who are seriously considering buying Wilbur.  He needed some advice from Ken on whether Wilbur could fit in his driveway and be turned around safely - no problem.  I decided to bake oat bran muffins which is now a favorite of my mother as well as us!

After a light lunch I did some crocheting and playing on my tablet before leaving at 2:00 to go to a birthday party for one of Ken's buddies from CR.  We left there around 3:45 and by 4:30 Lanie and the girls were here to visit and celebrate Mother's Day.  By then it was cloudy again and "spritzing", so we drove to the park and the girls played for just a short time before the drops "got bigger"!  Then it was off to the local pizza shop for dinner.  (Ken and I were "stuffed" from the birthday party, so only one teeny piece for each of us!)  We picked up some ice cream treats and then back to the apartment to play a new game for the girls and Lanie - Mexican Train Dominoes!  The girls learned quickly and Katelyn was the winner after 6 rounds.  Normally Samantha is not a game player but she had a good time - Yes!

They left by 8:30 and after watching a little TV, Ken and I headed to bed.  What a nice day!

Today, Sunday, we were at LCBC by 8:30 to chat with friends.  It was raining so hard when we arrived and continued most of the morning. We sat with Jamie, Dane, Sue and Dan, and when the service was over, the church had cupcakes for all mothers and a place where you could take mother/children photos.  How nice!

I'm probably a bit biased, but aren't they beautiful?

I am one proud mother!

Jamie and Dane treated all of us to a Mother's Day Brunch at Ledgerock Golf Club and it was positively delicious.  They had an omelette station, good baked items, plus salad, fish, chicken, green beans and rice.  They also had macaroons, an ice cream bar and free mimosas for all the mothers.  It was so great of Jamie and Dane to treat us to lunch and all spend time together.  We are truly blessed.

Ken and I are so blessed!

Ken and I stopped at Wilbur's storage area and he drove Wilbur to Lititz with me following in the CRV to Rohrer's Quarry where the motorhome will be serviced tomorrow.  I spent most of the afternoon reading, playing on my tablet and crocheting.  Ken read and rested.  He did a post on Facebook and answered e-mails while I x-stitched and did some messaging.  Also talked to my mother to wish her a Happy Mother's Day!

We were in bed by 9:30.  It certainly was a miserable weather day with lots of rain and strong wind.  Most of this upcoming week is forecast to be cloudy, so I am sure when the sun eventually comes out we will have to be reminded of "what it is"!
