All of these trees are starfruit trees. We enjoyed the fruit of one that was on the ground. Thanks, Ernie! |
Great path for riding bike on the island! |
We stopped at a fish house and got to see some of the catches of the day! |
Lots of oysters! |
The gas tank at the marina was a lovely piece of art! |
After lunch, we continue riding to the pier at Bokeelia where Ernie and Noela took off their shoes and enjoyed the water. Chuck rest in the shade of a palm tree! After riding about 18 miles, we all headed to the CG. It was very hot, so the 6 of us went to the pool to cool off! Back to Waldo to change and then drive to Low Key Tiki Hut for dinner. They have the best chicken skewers and fish tacos at such a reasonable price and sitting along the canal isn't bad either!!
The fishing pier at Bokeelia! |
Ernie and Noela just have to test the waters whenever it is possible! |
Here are the lovebirds again! |
Melissa and I felt the urge to rest! |
Someone really needed to rest in the shade of the palm tree! |
After 18 miles of bike riding, a special meal "out" was in order! Don't we look happy???? |
This gal at the Tiki Hut offered to take our picture and I think she enjoyed getting "up close and personal" with Chuck! |
When we got back to the CG (around 6:30), Ernie and Noela headed out to return to their CG. We showered and then Neil and Nancy stopped by for about a 1/2 hour just to chat. They left just as Chuck and Melissa arrived to play games. We played till 10:15 and all of us were tired, so we called it another best day and all went to bed, each in our own motorhome.
