Ken and I were up by 7:30, got ready, and then ate a light breakfast. We worked inside to get everything ready for moving and then went outside to complete that necessary work. We took the trash to the dumpster and then decided to take a walk around the CG. We got to say our good-byes to Larry, Deb, and Paul. By then it was 9:30 and we were ready to be on our way to our final camping destination this winter - a return to Pine Island! I followed Ken for about 20 minutes to a gas station and we filled up Waldo and the CRV. Then we hooked up the CRV and continued on our 1 1/4 hour drive to Pine Island. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day.
We arrived around noon and were the only ones checking in at that time. 80 rigs checked out today and about 80 came in. We were just about set-up when Chuck and Melissa arrived. We chatted on the phone, but decided we should wait to go to their site until they had some time to get organized. So we ate lunch and then walked over (their site is only about 6 away from ours) and what a nice reunion. We hadn't seen them since October and it was a happy time. Neil and Nancy pulled in too and they are almost behind Chuck and Melissa. We all chatted about 1/2 hour and then we decided to meet at the pool. Today was the warmest day since we arrived in Florida, in the mid 80's.
I got to the pool around 2:30, Neil and Nancy at 3, and Melissa around 3:15. Chuck and Ken decided to talk a walk to get their 10,000 steps. They came to the pool after their walk and the 6 of us sat there until about 5:30. It was great!
After showers and dinner, we went to Chuck and Melissa's to "catch up" on life and then play a game of Skip-Bo and Pinochle. With so much to talk and laugh about, we only returned to Waldo at 11:30. We were tired and went right to bed. What a nice day!
