Samantha and Katelyn Arrive and Are Here Till Sunday!

Ken and I got up at 7 and got ready to play pickleball.  Again, Ken had done the prep work for breakfast last night (fortunately he didn't make the toast ahead of time!) and finished it this morning while I got ready.  I did do the dishes!  Two points for me!!!

We were on the pickleball courts by 8 and already 8 people were playing.  This CG has really "filled up" since Wednesday.  Ken and I had a great time playing but we had one "booboo".  Ken fell down when he was backing up to go for a ball.  He has a brushburn on his elbow and knee, a black and blue raised bruise on his hip, and his wrist is a bit sore.  Fortunately nothing appears to be seriously wrong!  This getting old is not for sissies!!!!  We were back to Waldo by 10:45 after some tough fought games.

We sat outside relaxing and I was working on jewelry.  Our neighbors stopped by at the end of their walk and sat down and visited for about an hour.  We had met these folks at Rondout CG last summer and were happy to reconnect with them.  

We went in for lunch at 12:45 and Lanie and the girls arrived around 1.  They were excited and a bundle of energy.  We visited with Lanie for about a 1/2 hour before she left to go shopping at Berkshire Mall without the girls.  Bob and Lanie will be going to a wedding in Allentown tomorrow afternoon and returning on Sunday.

After Lanie left, we all got ready to go to the pool.  The girls enjoyed it and especially the ice cream treat we had while we were there.  At 3 Katelyn wanted to go back to Waldo to take a nap.  So Ken stayed at the pool with Samantha and Katelyn and I went back.  As soon as she was changed she got into bed and went right to sleep.  I showered and got somethings ready for dinner.  Ken and Samantha only returned at 4:30 and they showered.  I woke Katelyn and the girls wanted to watch Sleeping Beauty. They saw part of the movie while Ken and I got supper ready!

Wow, this ice cream is good!

We even shared with Grandma and PaPa!

We ate outside and the girls enjoyed their pizzas while we had leftover steak and salmon, plus a salad and delicious corn on the cob.  After dishes and more of the movie we all went outside to make s'mores and of course the girls wanted the small ice cream sandwiches we always try to have available when they come to visit us!  It's like tradition!!

No time to smile or talk - I am eating my s'more!

Our neighbors, Bob and Shirley, have lights that shine on the trees nightly and make them look like a "fairyland".  We told Samantha and Katelyn there would be a surprise on the trees when it got dark and they thought it was magical.  At 9:15 the girls went to bed. They go to sleep so easily.  We actually went over to Bob and Shirley to chat and enjoy a glass of wine together after we put the girls to bed.  They were sound asleep when we returned about a 1/2 hour later. Amazing how comfortable they feel with us and in Waldo!
