We took our 1st ride ever on the Big Red Campground Bus along with 20 other campers to Ft. Myers Beach. We left the CG at 9, arrived at the beach at 10. Ken and I decided to take a long walk on the beach. Found some beautiful nutmegand coquina shells. Then walked the pier to check out the pelicans. Spent the rest of our time at Ft. Myers Beach relaxing and reading. We were back to the CG by 3:00. So much easier to ride the bus than drive into the beach and cheaper too!!
Then we took a 10 mile bike ride from the CG to St. James City at the end of Pine Island. Stopped to check out the eagles, but the picture is too far away to really see the nest very well. We saw an eagle sitting on the nest, but it is fairly hard see it on the photo.
Hope to go kayaking in the next day or so!

I am sooo jealous! Pine Island is definitely a place we need to camp at..hopefully not too far into the future! Love the pictures, glad you explained the starfish- I was going to ask.
