We passed a lady who had the rope to her kayak tied around her waist and she was wading in the water looking for something. So we asked what she was searching for? She finds horseshoe crap shells after the crabs have shed their shells and then she paints them to look like the face of a pirate. It would be interesting to see them once they are completed.
We paddled 1 1/2 hours with the inflation, paddling, and deflation all going well. We are definitely learning each time we use it! It is so much fun and the areas around here are perfect for kayaking.
I took a class at the campground this afternoon on cardmarking with rubber stamps. It was a fun thing to do with other women from the campground. Ken took a bike ride while I was there.
We continued our shuffleboard tournament right before dinner, and I won both games. So now we are tied!! This game can get brutal!
Tomorrow we are playing to drive to Sanibel Island, taking our bikes so we can ride around some of the Island. Then we will drive to the end to Captiva to have lunch at the same place we have gone the last 3 years. We will probably spend some of the afternoon on the beach. Then, I have a "date" to play tennis with Ed tomorrow evening under the lights at 7:00. Should be another fun day!
This photo taken from our campsite around 6:15 tonight. Beautiful clouds! |
