Enjoying playing Uno! |
What a great campsite! |
As per the usual request, the girls had pancakes. We cleaned up, put on our bathing suits and then played about 4 hands of Uno before leaving at 10:45 for the Funky Hair Dying Activity. The girls had their hair colored gold and blue and it looked "amazing"!
Oh boy! Colored hair! |
Beautiful! |
Yogi liked their dyed hair! |
Then it was off to the waterpark where Sam and Katelyn had a great time on the slides, the floating log, and using the huge water guns. Ken and I sat on chairs observing, as it was very cloudy and only in the low to mid 70's, too cold for these old folks!
This CG really has a great waterpark! |
Get ready! The water tower is soon going to overflow! |
Lots of water falling! |
Off to the high powered water guns! |
When the water tower overflows, you get soaked!!! |
After you build up pressure a huge fountain of water comes out of the top! |
Ken left the pool area around 1 for a brief rest and the girls and I went back to Wilbur at 1:45 to have lunch. They decided not to go back to the waterpark today because of other activities they wanted to do. So, Katelyn and I showered and then we all ate lunch outside. PawPaw took them to the Funky Manicure Activity while I dried my hair, but I joined them after about 15 minutes. We all got our nails painted included blue polish on PawPaw's ring finger - what a sport!
Time for a manicure! |
We all got in on the action, including PawPaw! |
You can also paint ceramics, but I am not sure we will do that while we are here! |
While there, they could also make flower headbands or necklaces so they both decided to do that activity too!
Making a flower headband! |
Great job, girls! |
The girls wanted to play more GaGa Ball, so we went to watch them. After that activity, the 4 of us went to get ice cream here in the CG before playing a round of mini golf. The course here is well-maintained and just challenging enough for everyone to enjoy. The girls wanted to check-out the camp store and were thrilled when we bought each of them a stuffed Cindy Bear as a souvenir of this camping trip. By then it was 5:30 and time to head back to Wilbur to get organized for dinner.
Samantha and Katelyn enjoyed playing GaGa Ball! |
The girls improved at miniature golf since last summer! |
It really is a very nice course! |
You gotta love the bright blue water! |
The girls wanted hot dogs again and I warmed up the leftover corn and made mac and cheese. Ken and I chose to have salads with sauteed onions and peppers and grilled chicken. We ate outside and Sam and Katelyn did some ball throwing while we cleaned-up. Samantha showered and we watched about 15 minutes of American Ninja Warrior before getting in line for a Glow Stick Hayride around the CG. Fortunately we got there early and got on the 2nd wagon. The line was huge and I bet they had to make about 7 or 8 trips before everyone got their turn. We only got back to Wilbur at 9:30, made up the girls bed and we were all off to dreamland.
This has been an extremely busy day.
Just some fun pictures we took at the campground -
