Ken was up early to do his morning routine and I started my exercises at 7. We were all ready by 7:45 and headed to the kitchen where we found Lanie, Samantha and Katelyn eating breakfast. Ken ran to the grocery store for milk and soda and by 8:30 everyone had finished breakfast.
Lanie, Ken, Samantha, Cali, and Katelyn drove to a nearby playground and Dane, Jamie, Bria and I headed to the pickleball courts. It was already very hot and humid. Both groups had a great time. We played 5 games of pickleball with Bria and I losing all of them, but we had some good points and 2 close games!
Back to the condo by 10:15 and the playground group returned around the same time. We worked together packing lunches and getting ready to go to the beach. By 11:30 we were on the sand by the ocean! The waves today were just the right "size" for the girls and they had such a great time jumping and then learning to body surf with the waves from their instructors, Lanie and Jamie! Ken and I had so much fun watching Lanie and Jamie showing our granddaughters how to swim with the waves. Of course, Lanie, Jamie and Dane got in on the action and Ken and I got to reminisce of how we had taught our girls to body surf when they were about the same age. What a flashback! We left the beach around 3:30 and our granddaughters had been in the water about 3 1/2 hours!

Shower and laundry time when we returned and then Ken rested and I worked on the blog and downloaded photos. We started a game of Haus with Lanie and Jamie (they won) and by 5:45 all of us were on our way to Bethany Beach to take our annual family vacation photos and then enjoy some Grotto Pizza.
It was a gorgeous evening and everyone was fairly cooperative for PawPaw's picture time! We even found a very nice gentleman to take our annual family photo with the ocean in the background!

After photos, we headed to Grotto Pizza and because it was so hot, we decided to eat inside. Yum! Yum! Delicious pizza!

We did some shopping so the girls could spend their "ocean money"! Samantha actually got $20.00 when Lanie pulled her "baby tooth" that was very loose (several times she had to go to the dentist to have them removed because they wouldn't come out and the permanent tooth was really "pushing") so Lanie felt $20.00 was a bargain! She also gave the other 3 girls $5.00 for being a support for Samantha! They were all extremely grateful! All the girls got ice cream at Kohr's before returning to the Condo around 8:15. They were extremely tired from all the hard work they did in the ocean today.
They were in bed by 9 and the adults played a game of 5 Crowns which Jamie won by a large margin! Bed by 10:30 after one of our best beach days we ever had on a family vacation!
