We left for Chuck and Melissa's at 11 because we knew that Chuck was playing in a golf tournament from 9:15 to 12. We talked for awhile and then I started doing my laundry. During that time we played pinochle which the men won! After finishing my 2 loads of wash and enjoying some cheesecake that Joyce had made and sent with us, the 4 of us drove to Sweet Tomato for a "lupper"! As per usual, we ate so much but it was delicious.
A great place to have a huge salad smoregesboard plus homemade soups, muffins, baked potatoes, pasta, and soft serve ice cream! |
People come in their golf carts for dinner and to hear the nightly live music. |
Tonight there was also a Corvette Show! |
Back to their home for more game playing including Pinochle and the new board game they taught us, Tock. It was a fun evening but again the men were the winners!
After hugs and good-byes, Ken and I were heading back to the CG around 8:30 for a good night's sleep before heading back to PA early tomorrow morning! We had such a great time with Chuck and Melissa as we always do. It is so much fun to reflect on all the great adventures we have shared and to talk about our children and parents, because we have met and visited all of them. Looking forward to seeing them again next winter when we return to Florida or maybe sooner - who knows????
Ken and I loaded and organized a few more items and were in bed by 9:30. Hope to be on the road around 6:30 AM!
