Then we assembled the gazebo that we had gotten from Ernie and Noela. It went up so easily that it was amazing. We are going to try it for this season and then decide if it is something that we will really use. Time will tell!
We went over to chat with Ernie and Noela before lunch and they were going to Costco and Sweet Tomato for lunch with Jim and Joyce. After we ate, Ken loaded our bikes and Ken and I went to the Cape Haze Trail for a 16 mile bike ride.
Such a beautiful trail! |
We were excited to see the eagle's nest with her eaglets, the large lizards, and the osprey with her dinner.
Ken was able to get some good photos of the eaglets even though we weren't able to get very close! |
At first, we thought there was only one, but bingo, up pops another one! |
These lizards are rather large and colorful! |
They certainly look pre-historic! |
Dinner is served! The poor fish wasn't dead when the osprey was "picking" his dinner! |
Then we were shocked to find that the little village of Placida, with little fishing shacks painted bright colors like in Key West, was totally demolished for the building of Condos. It was rather disappointing to us, but I guess that is called progress!
The little village of Placida was gone! |
I watched America's Got Talent and I think all of them are champions. They are amazing. I worked on this blog while watching. Ken was home by 9:15 and watched the end of the show with me.
Ken likes to take photos while riding (not a good idea, but????). Interesting how you can see the trail in his bike mirror!
