After another good service, Ken and I went for some drinks and then went back to the Church for a Meet the Pastor luncheon. About 12 of us attended and it was a wonderful opportunity to meet Pastor Dan, up close and personal. We learned a lot about Edgewater and the United Methodist Church.
Back to the CG by 1:30 and I spent more time outside doing more counted x-stitch while Ken read and rested. We left at 4 and drove to Sarasota for a Super Bowl Party at Frank and Barb's. Lloyd, Deb, Gene and Marilyn from back home were also there. Frank had made spaghetti and garlic bread, Marilyn salad, Deb dessert and I brought some snacks.
Busy eating and chatting! |
Time to pose for Ken, the cameraman! What a wonderful group of folks to be with and the food was great too! |
What a fun time watching the game together. It was a good game, but a defensive stand-off does not provide a very exciting one. I did watch the whole game, but also finished crocheting a baby afghan while watching.
Ken and I left as soon as the game was over, getting back to the CG at 11, too late for these older folks. We went right to bed without even reading!
