A Shopping and Errand Day!

After a rough night's sleep for both of us, I was up at 6:15 to get ready to go Shopping with Shirley!  Shirley is a fellow camper who is charge of a bus trip either 1 or 2X per month that takes you to 3 or 4 Thrift Shops in the area. Wednesday is 1/2 price day on clothing at most of them and in between the stores you stop for lunch to "refuel".  We got to the 1st one 15 minutes before it opened and there was already a line of shoppers waiting to gain entrance! It was a crazy place! You can really get some great buys, but obviously, you have to be careful and check the merchandise carefully.  Nancy Savage went with me after much hesitation, but we did have a good day being together.  Nancy was very happy when the day was over and I doubt if she will ever do it again.  I enjoyed it, but 1x a year is plenty!  I appreciated that Nancy was such a good sport!  We had left the CG at 8 and only returned at 4:30, a rather long day! But, I did purchase 2 dresses, 2 skirts, and 2 sweatshirts for $15.00.  Not bad!

Ken was up when I left and he had a busy day doing errands.  He went to the bank, dropped off the "stuff" we decided to get rid of when we "housecleaned" the motorhome at the Catholic Church for their Rummage Sale! He stopped at a local produce stand, went to a car wash for the CRV, and then drove for 45 minutes to a local Wal-Mart.  He spent some time in Matlacha walking and checking out some of the shoppes. Turned out to be a much busier day then he had hoped.  He also spent about 1 1/2 hours with Coy trying to load the necessary program to view the spreadsheet they had for their trip out west! When I got back Ken was outside the CG taking a walk.

This woodstork decided to visit
our campsite!

He was waiting for Ken to
cook something on the grill!

What a colorful house!

Resembles Key West!

Ken grilled salmon and chicken while I made salads.  My mother called and my Dad's floor at Masonic Homes is back under quarantine with the flu.  Fortunately he is fine!  Ken and I skyped with Jamie, Bria and Cali for about 35 minutes and it was so great to see and talk to them.  They are all doing well.

We watched American Idol and did work on our computers.  It was an interesting day!
