Shopping, Laundry, Pool, and Friends

Ken and I only got up around 8, cooked breakfast and decided we should make a "run" to Costco, about 28 miles in the Ft. Myers area.  We left at 10 and made 3 stops at local produce stands to check out the best prices and the quality of the fruits and veggies.  I was able to by some Honeybell oranges, but they are the last of the season.  Only got to Costco around 11:30.  Our GPS gave us a route that was supposed to be the closest and best but surprise, it was wrong! After getting our items and a few for Neil and Nancy, we headed back to the CG using the route we had taken other years when we were in the area!  Much more direct and took about 25 minutes less time.  Oh, those GPS things!!!!!

I spent about 1 1/2 hours doing our laundry - we had plenty!!!!  Ken returned to Waldo to put things away, do dishes, and do general clean-up.  He also drove up to the laundry when I was done and took everything back to Waldo then put it away, hung some damp clothes outside, and even remade the bed. What a guy!  He had insisted that I go to the pool and relax.  No wonder I love him so much!

I spent time talking to Pat at the pool and then stopped by Paul and Regina's on the way back to chat.  They have been here since Sunday too, but we have never been able to connect.  So good to see them again.   Pine Island in February is the only time we see each other!

Ken was out for a walk when I got back to Waldo so I showered and since Pat and Ron were stopping by at 5:30 to check out Waldo, I got a few snacks together.  Ken was talking to our neighbors, so I went to join them.  Pat and Ron were here till 6:45 and were just leaving when Neil and Nancy came by. We had a nice visit until about 8:30 and then we went to a campsite where they were having a get together around a campfire.  Only stayed about 1/2 before coming back to Waldo for the evening.  Only supposed to have a low of 61 tonight, so it was comfortable being outdoors!

Did talk to my sister today and they are enjoying their time in the Venice area. Also talked to Ernie and Noela and they are coming to see us here at Pine Island on Friday to ride bike and see this area again.  We are looking forward to being with them!!
