Ken was up early to do his reading and then left at 7 for his appointment at the Kissel Hill Lab to have blood drawn for his routine extensive blood testing. He was back home by 7:45 and we made eggs for breakfast. I had a nice phone conversation with Noela regarding us meeting in the Florida Keys the weekend after Thanksgiving to camp together. Because Ken and I will now be able to go to the Hershey RV Show this week, we told her we will do some investigating to hopefully find a reasonable campground. She did call an Encore Park about an hour from Key West, but it was very expensive and only has about 30 sites available after all the devastation they had following last year's hurricane.
I left at 10:30 to stop at a roadside produce stand and then go to our ladies card club that meets once a month to play pinochle. There are 8 of us and we go to one of the members home each month where we play cards, have snacks, and then enjoy a dessert before we leave. It was so much fun to get back together after not meeting over the summer. It was a winning day for this gal so I am $7.00 richer!!!
I went to Wal-Mart for a few items after card club only getting back home around 4:45. Ken had a busy day while I was gone working at his desk, meeting with a gentleman from his Step Study, and then doing more studying. He had also gotten the results of his blood tests and a message from his Dr. saying that everything was great - hallelujah!
We watched the Evening News and then we played 2 rounds of Hand and Foot and Ken has the lead! We will finish later. I had such a nice chat with Joyce in Florida who is having a relaxing time with hubby, Rick, near Orlando. Ken went to his office to do more work for his Step Study. I did my devotions and then watched America Ninja Warrior. Ken joined me for the last 45 minutes. We were in bed by 10 to do some reading and then it was lights out!!!
