Sunday - Another Gorgeous, Sunny Day!

Ken was up and reading by 6 and then woke me at 7.  We did some clean-up around Wilbur, ate breakfast, and by 9:30 we walked to the entrance of our campground arriving there just as Burt and Pat pulled in to take us to church with them.

They have a small congregation of such warm, friendly people and today a retired guest minister gave the sermon.  We really enjoyed his easy manner and very inspiring message.  Burt and Pat were in charge of the coffee social time after the service, so we had an opportunity to chat with the minister, other folks, and an RV couple who were also visiting and from the Pocono area of PA.

The 4 of us left there and drove to the top of Mount Agamenticus where we had a fantastic view of lighthouses, the ocean, mountains, etc.  For 10 years it was a skiing area and the lodge is now a visitor and education center.

Inside of the former ski lodge!

Boon Island Lighthouse - a dangerous place to work!

Just for pretty!

The leaves are slowly beginning to change color!

Tomorrow we will be driving to the White Mountains
in New Hampshire.  That is what you are seeing in
the background!

On to the Lobster Cove Restaurant at Long Sands Beach so Ken could get his much anticipated lobster dinner.  They had a twin lobster special with a baked potato and squash for $25.99 and Ken loved every mouthwatering piece.  Burt was a good instructor on how to crack a lobster and Ken appreciated his needed help!

All I can say is "wow"!

After dinner we walked across the road to view the wave activity which was rather strong.  The water came all the way up to the rocks leaving no beach area and water actually sprayed onto the road when the waves broke.  We were able to escape getting wet!  We could see the Nubble Lighthouse from here!

We made a stop at a church where they sell lots and lots of pumpkins, grown by Navajo farmers, and you pay at the small orange trailer!

You have to love the orange trailer!

Neighboring church that is a typical New
England Style!

Back to Wilbur around 4:30 and I downloaded photos and worked on this blog.  I also sent some e-cards to Ken's sister, Priscilla, and Dane's mother, Sue, both are having surgery on Tuesday.   It would be great if you would add them to your prayers!

Dinner wasn't necessary because of our large lunch.  I spent the evening watching football after we viewed 60 Minutes together.  I had fun painting rocks while watching the games.  Ken went to bed around 10:00, but I stayed up until 10:45 watching the Steelers.  I was up too late considering we need to be at Burt and Pat's by 8 tomorrow morning.
