Ken was up a bit earlier than me, but we decided to get ready, eat breakfast, and then begin packing and organizing for heading to New England on Sunday. We loaded up things we wanted to take back to our apartment that wouldn't be needed the next 17 days, especially summer clothing. We also took home plenty of laundry so I could do several loads at home to be ready for the next leg of our trip.
Ken was busy outside and I worked inside. He disconnected the water and the sewer, but kept the electric connected. We left to go back to Lititz around 10:30 and spent quite a bit of time unloading when we got there. We also had a list of things we wanted to take back to Wilbur, so after putting in a load of wash, that was our next project! Amazing how much clothes we loaded (lots of long sleeved items), food, and just some miscellaneous things. Ken left at 2:30 for his Step Study Class and I finished 2 large loads of wash, did my devotions, and made a card holder.
Gary and Marcia were coming around 5:30 for an evening of Pinochle playing and Ken stopped to pick-up pizza for the 4 of us. Before their arrival, I got organized for eating and card playing and the 3 of them arrived at the same time. We enjoyed the pizza and then started the card playing began with the men winning the 1st game, the women the 2nd, and unfortunately the men won the 3rd one. It really was a fun time. We did stop to have some Moravian Sugar cake (which we purchased at the Brethren Relief Auction), coffee and tea between the last 2 games. How delicious.
Marcia and Gary knew we had to drive back to Hershey, unload the car and put everything in its place, and we hoped to be on our way to Mystic Seaport, CT early tomorrow morning. So, they left a little after 9 and Ken and I were on our way very quickly. We had everything done at Hershey by 10:15 and it was off to bed, looking to be up by 6 and on our way by 7. I guess we will see how that goes!!!!!
