Ken and I were up around 7:30 in the Bay at Lazydays! We checked with Rob, our service technician, when he got there around 8 and he said we could leave whenever we we ready. So, Ken and I headed to the store and Rob drove Waldo to the front parking lot - only Lazyday employees can drive the RV's from the bay area. We met with Markle, the gentleman who signed us up for the warranty and he needed us to sign some papers and of course, write a check! By then it was 9 AM and we decided we should see what they were offering at the Lazyday cafeteria for breakfast. Eggs, sausage, and potatoes were a good deal for $4.00, so we had breakfast and then left to get gas in Waldo on the way to the CG.
After signing in, we hooked up the car to Waldo to make sure everything was working properly and it worked well! We went to our campsite and got "moved in". Of course, we couldn't get the electric to work. It showed high voltage. So, we had someone come from the CG come to check it and guess what???? It was our surge protector again. We purchased our 1st Progressive Surge Protector last April because of the high "marks" it got and it was guaranteed for life! We have sent 2 back that worked improperly and each time we have to pay to send it back and then they just refurbished the one we had. Now we have to send it back for a 3rd time. What is wrong with this picture?????
By then it was time for lunch, so we went back to the cafeteria and enjoyed soup and a salad. The CG gives you free lunch and breakfast tickets for the days you are staying in the CG, so lunch was on them! We stopped in the store and bought some new deodorizer for our tanks that was recommended to us by my brother-in-law, John, we took a class on "tanks" when they were here in March. I also purchased one of those USA maps so we can track which states we camp in. Since we area going out west I thought I was the perfect time to buy one!!
Then it was time to food shop, so we went to Parkesdale Market (where we had to buy a strawberry shortcake, but we did share it) and then on to Wal-Mart and Costco. We only got back to the CG at 4:30 and we were "beat"! We found a place for everything and Ken deboned the rotisserie chicken we bought at Costco. Then we decided it was time to take a nap. We rested for about 45 minutes and then made supper- chicken, quinoa, and salads. We were able to eat outside and it was so nice! Then we took a walk around the CG. Ken cleaned up while I worked on this blog.
We planned to head out tomorrow morning, but the weather on the Panhandle is looking very unpredictable - severe storms. So, we will wait until morning to decide if we should stay here another day. We probably would appreciate another day to unwind.
