Our 1st Full Day in Florida!

After a rather restless night (I guess we are excited and almost too tired to sleep well), we decided to spend the morning getting Willlie and Diesel organized.  I spent about an hour calling RV dealers trying to find a replacement  panel for the one we had lost while driving that covers the refrigerator on the outside of Willie!  Didn't have much luck.  Ken did a great job moving things around between the truck and Willie.  We finally feel like we have settled in to our new home!!!!

After lunch we drove towards the beach, but stopped at 2 more RV Dealers looking for the vent we needed.  We bought one, but it is not a perfect fit.  With alittle work and adjusting, we think we can make it work.  Finding this part was a much larger project than we anticipated.

We did drive along the highway A1A which followers right along the coastline.  We drove from Ormond Beach, through Daytona Beach, South Daytona Beach, and then to Ponce Inlet, which is 10 miles south of Daytona Beach. Ponce Inlet has been named on of the world's top ten beaches by Dr. Beach, whoever he is!!!!  The Ponce Inlet Light Station was established in 1887 and is Florida's tallest lighthouse.  We did walk on the beach and I had my 1st opportunity to get shell pieces for my jewelry making!

We are enjoying the warmer weather, especially after seeing the freezing cold temperatures in PA.  It was in the low 60's today but will get down to the lower 40's tonight.
