Yesterday Ken and I did more loading in Willie for our trip to Florida. Most of the clothes and shoes are packed as well as many of the "extras", but not the food. That will have to be last minute due to the weather. Ken keeps checking the forecast for Saturday and early Sunday morning. It looks like it will be around 47 degrees on Sat. with a low around 31 early Sunday morning. So, we are planning to load the food and drinks in Willie instead of the truck sometime Saturday afternoon. Hopefully we can hitch to the truck and be ready for "take-off" around 5 AM Sunday. Ken is abit concerned about all the people that we be heading to Washington for the inauguration, but hopefully we will be around DC before the main traffic. We will probably stay in a motel the 1st night and hope to be in Florida later Monday.
After reviewing our itinerary, Ken realized we are not moving on Wednesday while in Florida, but on Thursdays. So if we gave you dates for arriving in CG's on a Wed., don't look for us before Thursday. Not sure how we got that wrong, I guess just "older age".
Tomorrow we are going to our granddaughter Sam's 4th birthday party. We are looking forward to a fun time. When we get home around 3:30 the final loading will begin. This week seemed to be a time of waiting! So much can only be done at the last minute!
But Florida, we are ready and excited for our adventure!
Safe travels. Call us when you arrive in Florida!
