We arrived back home on Monday from our Avalon trip and spent the whole day being extremely busy between unpacking, mowing, and washing! How can you go from a relaxing vacation to "crazy busy" in a matter of hours???
Had a good time spending time with our daughters, granddaughters, and my parents throughout the week. Yesterday we spent most of the day packing for a week's vacation with our daughters and their families in a Condo we are renting in Bethany Beach.
We left home at 8:00 this morning and had a "slow" drive to Bethany Beach. So much traffic! We stopped for breakfast at Michael's, a restaurant near the Christiana Mall in Delaware - delicious food at reasonable prices! 2 more quick stops and we arrived at the rental place in Bethany Beach around 1:00. (Just proves how heavy the traffic was for this trip!)
The Condo was not available until 2, so we shared a burger at the Cottage Cafe, a place we frequented when we used to spend a lot of time in Ocean City Md. They have great specials everyday from noon til 6 in the bar area!
Ken, Jamie, Dane, Bria, Cali and I arrived at the Condo around 2:15 and the work began of unloading, unpacking, and making all the beds. Enjoyed doing play dough with Bria and Cali. Grotto's delivered their delicious pizza to the Condo and since it was such a lovely evening, we ate on the deck. Took a walk to the gazebo on the bay at the back of Bethany Lakes resort to see the sunset, but we were 15 minutes too late! We will try again!!!!
Looking forward to going to the beach tomorrow and making sandcastles with Bria and Cali. Lanie, Bob, Sam and Katelyn are joining us on Tuesday till we all leave on Saturday. So good to spend time with our girls and their families!
