Our Last Full Day at Bethany Beach with the Family!

We got up a bit earlier on Friday so we could leave to bike ride on the boardwalk at Ocean City (bikes have to be off at 11).  We were at 27th Street in OC by 9:45 and after finding a place to park all of our cars, we walked to the surf and placed all of our "beach stuff" there, right along the water's edge.  Ken and I rode our bikes and the 2 families rented surrey bikes.  The granddaughters really enjoyed their rides and the adults found the pedaling a bit tiring.  It was a gorgeous, sunny day again in the high 70's with a nice breeze.

Bob, Lanie, Samantha, and Katelyn!

Dane, Jamie, Bria, and Cali

This is a new addition to the beach at OC - a dinosaur skeleton
and 3 dinosaur eggs - cute!

Aren't they adorable - spoken like a Grandma!
We rode from 10 to 11!  Ken and I enjoyed reminiscing about our many years of spending so much time in OC and how many things change, but more stay the same.  We stopped at Playland to play 2 games of Skeeball - we played hundreds of games over the years and it was always so competitive between us.  Today I was a the winner by about 100 points - Wow!

We were on the beach from 11 to 2 and it was a perfect day.  The waves were much gentler than earlier in the week, great for the girls.  They enjoyed more belly surfing and learned to go out further and jump the waves. What a difference a year can make!!!!

A tough "work day" at the beach!

Some "belly surfing"

Ready to jump those waves!

The Happy Beach Trio!

Back to the Condo by 2:30.  We do not miss all the slow traffic, lights, and confusion in OC.  Bethany Beach is a much more family friendly atmosphere.  After everyone showered, we did some packing and laundry, but took time to sit on the deck and enjoy some light snacks and "drinkys".  The little ones did some "down time".  We ordered in dinner from Bethany Blues (very good) and ate on the deck.  Then we headed to Bethany Beach to get our annual family photos on the beach.  That is a must for PaPa!  10 minutes later and we would have missed the sunset photos.  Bria and Cali got their take home souvenirs and everyone but Grandma had Ice Cream at Kohr Brothers.  I was busy buying a pair of Sanuk sandals (my favorite brand!) as a gift from Ken for my birthday (it is tomorrow!)

A great dinner on our deck!

Jamie and her family!

Lanie and her family!

Our precious granddaughters!

The whole Hosler Family!  We are blessed!

A special time for Grandma and PaPa!

The "original" Hosler Family!

They had a free "American Idol" on the boardwalk.  What a crowd!

We were back to the Condo by 8:30 and the little ones went right to bed.  They were so tired.  The adults played a game of Phase 10 and tonight that men were the winners.  (We had to let them win - it has been a week with few victories for the men!!!)

To bed by 10!  Can't believe a whole week has gone by with the family being together.  It was so much fun!
