Camping Again! YEAH!!!!

Spent time on Sunday loading Willie and getting ready for our camping adventure.  We left at 8:15 this morning and arrived at our destination - Rondout Campground at 12:45.  Beautiful rather easy drive.  This is an Encore Park that is part of our Zone Pass.

Set-up went well and rather quickly!  Both of us felt tired and ready to relax and unwind.  Ken has been battling a sinus infection for two weeks and ended up going to the Dr. on Friday.  Got an antibiotic, nasal spray, and an inhaler as well as a chest x-ray that was negative.  Hallelujah!  I am fighting not to get it, but not sure I will win the battle.  Time will tell.  He is starting to feel alittle better, but still has a way to go.  So, relaxation is appreciated today.

This is the 1st camping trip of the season where we are not so close to home.  Every other one we have come and gone to attend family events.  It was great, but we are ready to just camp for this week.  We will be here till next Monday.  The Martins should arrive tomorrow evening and Frankhousers on Thursday.  Looking forward to a great time.

Late afternoon, Ken and I took a walk around the CG.  It is a large one with a stream bordering the backside and plenty of trees throughout the park.  The pool area is beautiful, but won't be open for the season until the weekend.  We were disappointed with the condition of the bocce court, pickle ball area, the shuffleboard and the mini golf course.  All of them could be nice, but not enough pride is taken in keeping them weeded and free of debris.  Wouldn't take much work to make a great difference.  We stopped by the office and inquired about these areas and the gal was receptive to trying to see that something is done!  We will see!

Watched The Voice (we both really enjoy that show, but not sure who we would like to win, but probably the Swon Brothers or Danielle).  They are all so talented!

We did make reservations for our 2 week trip in July to Moody Beach in Maine and then to Sandy Beach CG in New Hampshire.  Both are part of our Thousand Trails Zone Pass or Ready, Camp Go!  That should be a great trip!
