Great Day with the Martins at Rondout CG

We had an extremely relaxing morning, getting up later and having a leisure breakfast in Willie.  Talked with Fred and Doloris - they had not eaten yet!  Ken and I decided to take a walk to the Farmers Market that is about a 3 mile round trip from the CG.  Beautiful morning for a walk - 70 and very sunny!

We enjoyed the walk as well as the delicious blueberry/lemon scone that was baked on the premises this morning.  We do realize how spoiled we are living in Lanc. Co. among all the fresh produce and roadside stands that are right on the local farms.  All the baked goods and fresh fruits and veggies we get there are so reasonably priced compared to when we travel.

This is the 6th Church on this property since the late 1600's.
The 2 previous ones burned!

The farmers market (Store) had a nice area to sit and enjoy
eating their delicious baked items!

Looks good enough to eat!!!!!

After some chatting time with Fred and Doloris, the 4 of us headed out in Diesel to the nearby town of New Paltz, about 16 miles away.  What a quaint little college type town with lots of unique, hippie type stores and loads of eateries.  We went to the Chamber of Commerce for additional local information and then checked out the Rails to Trail that goes through the town.  We plan to ride it on Friday when the Frankhousers are here.

Ken snapped this photo while we were eating lunch in Diesel!

This was definitely a "hippie type" store with lots of
tye dyed fashions and peace symbols!

Stopped to see this falls on the way back to the CG!

Part of the shell of the Old Mill!

Back to Willie by 6:15 and the men started the campfire for cooking our dinner.  Just a gorgeous day and evening.
