We were on the way by 11:30 and it took less than 30 minutes to arrive at the CG. This really is a beautiful one! It is located next to Dutch Wonderland and is bordered by a stream in the rear and offers lots of shade, larger level sites, and plenty of grass. Nicely maintained too! Lanie and Jamie are bringing the little ones after naps, so we got set-up inside and out easily. After lunch we decided to do some relaxing before the fun and busy times begin!
The girls, both big and small arrived by 4:30. While I organized dinner, Ken took the little ones to the CG playground. Following dinner, Lanie and Katelyn headed home and the rest of us walked from the CG to Dutch Wonderland, about 1/4 of a mile. Ken and I had a day pass for Wednesday which entitles you to spend the evening before in the park from 5:30 til closing. Jamie went with us to "show us the ropes" since her family has season passes. What a great park for little ones the age of our granddaughters. We left the park around 8:15 and headed back to camp after enjoying numerous rides and very short lines! Jamie left and Ken and I were on our own with our 3 granddaughters.

After a bit of a rough sleeping night, Wednesday was an action packed, full day at the park. We opened it and closed it and again the girls and Grandma and PaPa had a lot of fun. The Water Flume and the big slide were the favorite rides and the waterpark, where we spend the afternoon, was also incredible. We went back to Willie for lunch and dinner, but that was really the only breaks. Cali got exhausted at the waterpark and went back with PaPa for an afternoon nap. Everyone got "revitalized" after dinner and the evening at the park turned out to be our favorite time.

Woke up to thunder and a prediction of some severe storms, so we did some fast loading outside before breakfast. The girls enjoyed watching a movie while we got ready to leave the CG. We were back to our house by 10:30 where Jamie picked up Bria and Cali. Ken and I took Sam home by 12:45. We really had a good time and Bria, Cali and Sam asked if we would come back again next year, maybe for an extra day. Sounds like they enjoyed the camping adventure and their time with Grandma and Papa.
Being a grandparent is a special thing!!!!
Looks like a fantastic place! I just reserved a weekend in August so we can take our 2 kids to Dutch Wonderland! Did you stay in an RV or one of the cabins?
