Day 24 - On the Road Again! Here We Come, Tucson!

Ken and I were up at 6:40, ate some cereal, and finished packing up for our drive to Tucson.  We had planned to leave at 8:20, but the 4 of us were exiting the CG by 8:02 - wow, are we good!   Couldn't resist taking a photo of the beautiful rainbow that appeared when we were getting ready for "take off".

What a nice "send off".

We did the entire 214 mile drive on Interstate 10, a nice road for easy driving. Talked with my mother during the drive and she and dad are doing very well We stopped for gas before leaving New Mexico and passed our States on Skates girls again.  Of course, we had to honk and wave! One more stop at a rest area when we got to Arizona where the rocks were amazing.  It was so flat and then all of a sudden - huge boulders.  Crazy!

We passed Kim and Gracie and we were concerned as to
what happened to Brenna!

She was waiting for them at the top of the hill!

More exceptional views to enjoy!

We made it to Arizona!!!  Now I can put another
sticker on our map, but not until we actually spend the
night camping in Waldo!  It's our rule!  You can't just pass through!

Wow, check out those boulders!

They seemed to come out of nowhere!!!

It's a balancing game!!!!  Who stacked them like that?????

Kind of a crazy formation!!!

We arrived at Lazydays an hour before we planned since Arizona is on Mountain Standard time, we gained an hour.  What is it with these time zones????  It is so confusing.  Maybe I should do what Chuck does and just set all the clocks and my watch to whatever time it is back home.  I guess I wouldn't be totally confused then!!!!!!!!!!

This CG is beautiful, large, and has well maintained sites that are spacious.  We love the architecture of the buildings - the office, bathhouses, and even the rental cabins are adobe and Mexican style.  After setting up and eating our lunch outside, the 4 of us walked to Lazydays to meet with our service adviser, Kristen, just to check in, make sure the parts were delivered, and that we were on target for 8 AM tomorrow morning.  Well, we met Kristen, the parts have arrived, and she will be ready for us 1st thing tomorrow morning - YES!  So far so good.  We just hope the repair goes that smoothly!

We toured some of the larger motorhomes that could be of interest to Chuck and Melissa in the distant future (way distant according to Melissa) and then stopped at the game room to play team foosball.  Not sure how you spell it, but the women were victorious.  We had such a "hoot" playing that game.  I think a rematch is in the future.

They have fruit trees here in the CG so we were able to pick lemons (huge) and grapefruit.  Going to make some fresh lemonade tomorrow. Ken and I worked together to pack our lunches for tomorrow and make salads for supper.  Tried to get all prepared for tomorrow, since we have to Waldo at the service center at Lazydays by 8 AM.  Ken and Chuck grilled, I made some couscous, and Melissa had grilled veggies.  We were able to eat together outside.  I did dishes while Ken disconnected the sewer, cable, and water.  We played cards at Chuck and Melissa's and called it a night at 9.  After all, last night it was 10 and after a driving day, we were tired.
