Arrived at Sea Pines CG near Stone Harbor Area

So good to be back in Willie again!  We left home at 7 AM yesterday morning, Wed., with the Martins following us.  We stopped at Perkins on Route 41 for breakfast and Sam and Kathy were there waiting for us.  What a surprise!  During the week, Perkins offers many good values for breakfast and the food is excellent, especially their pancakes!

Ken and I took the lead when we left Perkins and did a great job until we had to get onto Route 55.  We missed the exit, but the others did not.  It didn't take us long to get onto Route 55, but we were the last ones to arrive!  So it goes!!!!

Weather wise, yesterday was a very nice one!  Really like this CG - large shaded sites (feels like you are in a state park), quiet, and plenty of amenities that are well maintained.  After setting up and eating lunch, Martins and us took a walk around the CG ending up at the shuffleboard courts where the men won both games.  We gave them a run for their money on the last one!

The lake/beach area in the CG!

They repainted the shuffleboard courts
since we were here last year!

Back to our sites to start the campfire for dinner.  I had brought corn on the cob which tasted great with hamburgers and turkeyburgers.  At 9  the six of us headed into Willie to watch the 2 American ladies teams play the finals in beach volleyball.  What an unbelievable sport and the match was so exciting.  By 10 we called it a night.  Looking forward to a day at the beach tomorrow!
