Our Last Full Day at Sea Pines!

Ken and I were up by 7:15.  I got ready while he did some sweeping and shaking of the rugs.  Boy, Willie gets "messy" when it rains at the beach.  The sand likes to find a home indoors!

We took a walk around the park and then it started to "sprinkle" around 8:45. The 6 of us got together for a cooked breakfast and all of us except Doloris (she is having some back issues) decided to get ready to take a bike ride around Stone Harbor and Avalon.  So we loaded them on the bike rakes and we were in Stone Harbor by noon.   We really enjoy riding in that area.  We did go onto the beach and I was able to gather more shell pieces for jewelry making!  As we were ready to leave the Avalon area, it started to get very dark.  Most of the way back to our vehicles we were in the rain.  Not extremely heavy, but steady!  By the time we got back to the CG around 2:15, it was pouring and it continued until 5.  We must have had at least 2 inches of rain in that time period.  The campers across from us had about 4 inches of water surrounding their screened area.  During that time, Ken and I enjoyed sometime in Willie relaxing, watching the Olympics, and I was wire wrapping the shell pieces I had picked up earlier today.

Around 5:30 the 6 of us got together in Willie to enjoy Happy Hour - snacks and some good drinks.  We played 2 games of Cue Me and the women won both - Yeah!!!  We had so much fun and laughed so hard!  What a great group of friends!  We are making such wonderful memories together!  We decided that supper was not needed after all of the snacks we shared.  So, we took a walk around the CG and then had brownies, ice cream and fresh peaches.  All to our separate rigs at 9:30.  Ken and I cleaned up and did some prep work for our departure tomorrow morning.  Then we watched the men's Olympic diving and headed to bed around 10:45.

This trip has gone by so quickly.  Unfortunately the weather was not as good as we had hoped, but we still had a terrific time.  Hope to come back for 2 weeks in September.  There is so much to do and see in this area!
