Arrived At Lazydays!

Ken and I were up at 6:30, ate breakfast at the hotel, and were on our way to Lazydays by 7:45.  We made several potty stops, ate lunch at Subway, and arrived at Lazydays by 1:15.

We connected with Sam Watson, our service coordinator, as soon as we arrived.  We have really come to appreciate all Sam has done for us.  She has really been caught in the middle throughout this whole "repair process" and has gone "to bat" for us so many times.  She expressed her frustration for us and felt so badly that she could not get everything done while Waldo was here.  We asked if we could have a mud/stone guard put on the back of Waldo and she saved us lots of money on that job!  She said we have gone through way toooo much and that was the least they could do.  Then she sent us back to the service bay to meet with our technician, Rob. He was the gentleman who did all the work on Waldo back in November.  All we can say is he has done everything we asked and was willing to answer any questions we had.  He was disappointed that the slide part and the cabinetry for above the drivers seat did not arrive in time for him to complete the work.

Samantha did coordinate the remaining work to be done at Lazydays in Touson , AZ on May 5th.  We have an appointment on that day and the parts should definitely be there.  Just to summarize, we are pleased with the work Lazydays has done and we have a new appreciation for their service.

We did decide to buy a warranty today through Cornerstone here at Lazydays.  We had a great meeting with Markle Janner, a business manager at Lazydays, and he was very informative and open about what is going. They are having challenges because of losing many technicians to new dealerships that opened in the area.  They are working hard to remedy the situation and we are thankful for what Sam and Rob have been able to do for us.

Rob completed the mudflap late this afternoon so he suggested we Dock in the Bay for the night (they have full hook-ups in the bay, including 50 amp) and move to the campground tomorrow.  So that is what we are doing.

We spent from 4 to 5:30 unpacking the car and moving everything into Waldo.  It was a bit challenging with not being able to open the broken slide, but we can still function.  We were able to open the other 2 even here in the bay.

Then Ken and I went to one of my favorite places for dinner, Sonny's.  It was delicious.  We were back by 7:00 and Ken checked the air in Waldo's tires and put some water in the holding tank so he could disconnect the hose that decided to "spring a leak".  We watched The Voice (the antenna actually worked in the bay) and we headed to bed as soon as it was over.  It has been a tiring 2 days but we are excited to be back in Waldo!
