The Great American Road Trip Has Begun!

Ken woke at 2:15 AM to go to the bathroom and when he returned he asked if I was awake. I had a restless night so I really was awake.  By 3 we were on our way to Florida.  We weren't even 20 miles from home when the tire pressure gauge came on in our new CRV.  What was that about?????  We couldn't believe it, but we didn't panic.  The car seemed to be driving fine, so we continued on until we got to Rutters near York that is located right before you get onto Interstate 83.  We bought a tire gauge and all of the tire pressures were perfect. Hallelujah!!!  So we calibrated the tire pressure system, bought drinks and were on our way.  It was now 4 AM.

We continued driving until we got to the other side of Richmond and stopped at our favorite Denny's for breakfast.  By then it was 7:30 and we were at Exit 61 in VA.  Things were going well.  By then it was light and we had some sunshine off and on.  We stopped around 1 at a Subway.  We had several other stops for gas and potty breaks and Ken did a great job driving.  After we had left Denny's both of us thought it would be great to set a goal of where we would like to stop for the night.  We really enjoyed the Millhouse Steakhouse near Brunswick, GA, so that became our goal with some flexibility if we got too tired.  We arrived at Exit 38 in GA at 4:50 after driving 765 miles and Ken did all the driving.  What a guy!

After checking into the hotel, we relaxed a little and then walked to the Millhouse Steakhouse and asked for Presley, the same server we had 3 weeks ago.  She is such a sweetheart.  Again, the food and bread was delicious and I had 2 amaretto sours at $1.99 each.  What a deal!  We were back to the hotel by 7:15 and enjoyed watching The Voice.  As soon as that was over, we turned out the lights and called it a day.  We hope to be to Lazydays around 1 PM tomorrow.  We did talk to our service rep, Sam today, and she appears to be on top of things.  We will probably stop at Lazydays in Tucson, AZ around May 5 to get the slide repaired.  We are not looking forward to living without the slide until then, but it could be worse.   Let the Great American Road Trip Begin!
