Then we went back to their house to see her seaglass collection - incredible, and socializing. From their we followed them to Ferry Boat State Park to walk the beach looking for seaglass. That was not a successful venture - the water had lots of seaweed which made it impossible to see to the bottom of the ocean floor. We only found 2 very small pieces. Barb was disappointed. We did get a glimpse of the Wood Island Biddeford Pool Lighthouse that was on an island across the water. The lighthouse was authorized by President Thomas Jefferson in 1808. We just enjoyed being with them and the 6 of us sat on the beach from 4 to 6 just chatting and sharing. It was great!

She had us follow them so we could drive through Old Orchard Beach, which looked very much like the beaches in New Jersey or Maryland complete with an amusement park and lots of shoppes and eateries. It was a very busy area with a crazy traffic flow pattern. Barb had said she is disappointed when people come to visit and ask to go to Old Orchard Beach. She says it is way too crowded and busy. They lead us to the entrance for Route 95 and we were on our way back to the CG after a fun-filled day. We really enjoyed their company.
Back at the CG we planned our ferry trip for tomorrow with Sam and Kathy and called it a day at 8:30. We plan to pick them up at 7:45 tomorrow and head to Portland to get the ferry to Peaks Island to hopefully find some seaglass. We will take our bikes on the ferry so we can get all around the island.
