Overcast Day So It Was Relaxing!

The planned day's activities had to be changed due to the weather.  The four of us got together around 10:15 and it was foggy, overcast, and rather cool.  We seem to be in this weather pattern since Monday.  We didn't see the sun at all today nor did we get out of the 60's.  We decided to go to the Rachel Carson Wildlife Preserve and take the mile hiking trail.  As soon as we got on the trail the rain showers began.  We headed back to car to get some rain gear, but I decided the 3 of them should take the walk while I waited in the car.  Just didn't feel like getting wet and didn't seem to be too interesting of a walk for me.  I was happy to just relax.  It did stop raining soon after they started back on the trail, but they did agree that it wasn't an overly exciting walk except for a couple they met who had a very positive outlook on life and adventures.

We planned to got to York to see the Dubble Lighthouse, and enjoy a lobster meal outdoors at a little place on Perkins Cove, but it started to rain again.  Not a day for hiking or eating outside, so we went back to Willie to eat lunch and decide on our plans for the rest of the day.  It was supposed to get partly sunny with a high of 81, but that never happened.  Instead, it remained overcast and so cool and then rainy.  We played Cue Me and Upwords at our picnic table under the awning.  What a silly, fun time!

Sam is "announcing" each move Kathy is making during the game!

Ken was going to build a fire to cook our dinner, but it really started to rain.  So, Kathy and I made supper indoors and we were able to eat outside under the awning.  Only ate around 8:00, so after we did dishes and chatted about our possible plans for tomorrow (still a 50% chance of showers), we called it a night.

Turned out to be a relaxing day with plenty of laughter and fun just sharing time together!

Hope to take a ferry ride to Peaks Island tomorrow, but the predicted weather may change those plans.  We shall see!!!!
