Saturday and Sunday - More Hot, Humid Days, but it's Florida!

Saturday was another beautiful day and after breakfast, we decided to do some additional furniture shopping, because up until now we haven't been very successful.  So with Joyce's recommendation, we went to Kane's.  Althea was a wonderful salesperson and we were able to find a very comfortable sofa and 2 chairs.

We decided to go to 2 additional places to be certain we were happy with the chairs and then went home to have lunch and do more talking and thinking about our decision.  Ken stayed home and I headed back to Kane's to order the sofa and chairs but then got a bit "carried away" and ordered the coffee table and 2 end tables we had also liked.  Everything will be delivered on Thursday - hallelujah!

Rick and Joyce arrived at 4 and they checked out what we had done since they were here on Wednesday.  I had put chicken in the crockpot for dinner and also roasted some potatoes, made salad, and they brought corn on the cob.  It was a delicious dinner if I do say so myself and we entertained our 1st house guests in our new abode!

We spent the remainder of the evening playing Hand and Foot and the men were victorious.  They left around 9 and Ken and I went right to bed.

Sunday morning we were at Edgewater Church by 9:15 and it was a great reunion seeing many of our friends that we spent time with in the winter months.  We were thrilled that Bob and Pat were able to be there because both of them have had some major health challenges.

After the service we met Joe and Carolyn at Denny's for breakfast and then they came back to the Condo.  We told them they were welcome to come see it, but they need to return when we get the furniture replaced and the decorating completed which probably won't be until next winter!  We had a very nice visit and when they left around 3.  We got a phone call from Kane's and Ken and I were both in agreement that we would cancel the tables for now and hope to find some at the many thrift stores in the area.  That was a good decision!   I headed out to get towels, rugs and a shower curtain for the guest bath (Ken's too when no one is visiting!)  Finally I was able to find almost everything I was looking for.  I even found the right colored towels for the Master Bath.

We made salads for dinner and then both of us spent the rest of the evening calling our friends and catching up on life!  It was a good day!
