Record Setting Day for Ken and I!!!

Flip Flops on this painted electrical pole!
Okay, it was a very physical day for Ken and I.  We decided to take a short bike ride before getting ready to go to church here in the campground.  So we left around 8 AM and headed towards Bokeelia, the northern most tip of Pine Island.  We planned to go about 3 miles, but the weather was so great and there was only a slight breeze, so we kept going.  Earlier this week Ken had mentioned that one of his goals for while we are here is to ride all the way to Bokeelia.  We both felt great riding and decided today would be a good day to do it.  We stopped at a great little cafe, Raymary Street Grill, for a delicious breakfast.  Then on to Bokeelia.  You pass many nursery where they grow all varieties of palm trees that they ship locally, nationally, and worldwide.  They are beautiful.  We got back to Willlie around 1:15 after riding 30 miles.  Then we changed and headed to Tropical Point, about 1 1/2 miles away to launch our inflatable kayak for the 3rd time.  It was the 1st time we were on our own.   The water was so calm, and the weather was perfect - alittle overcast and only a slight breeze.  We paddled about 1 1/2 hours and it went very well.  Really enjoyed the trip.  Enough of a workout for 1 day.  We exercised both our legs and our arms.  What more could you want?

Then we headed to a Super Bowl Party at the clubhouse with plenty of food.  Back to Willie by halftime to watch the rest of the game. Another great day in Paradise!

This is Tropical Point where we launched our Kayak!
We cleaned up before we took off!!

Very calm waters for kayaking!

We kayaked down a "neighborhood" waterway.
