Another Craft Show!

Ken and I were up at 6:00 to  go to our 4th Craft Show while snowbirding in Florida!   A little too early to be up and shining!!!  We only had to drive about 8 miles to the Church in Tavares where we sold my jewelry.  We were a little concerned when we arrived around 7:15, for the show appeared to be more of a rummage sale type thing than a craft show, but we were pleased with the bottom line when we finished around 2.  Ken did walk down to the lake on the edge of town to check out the steam train, sea planes, etc.

Another outdoor show where we had some trouble
with the wind!

There was a young crafter there that really encouraged us to check out a gift shop at an old hotel in a nearby town, Mt. Dora,  where the owner takes handmade items to sell in her shop.  Sky, the crafter said she would probably be interested in marketing my jewelry.  We stopped by to see her after the show and will have an appointment with her next week to see if we can work together.  Who knows, but I did appreciate the help and encouragement from another crafter.  We are looking forward to going back to Mt. Dora and walking around the artsy community.  Looks like a fascinating place!

This is the Gatehouse Gift Shoppe at the Lakeside Hotel
in Mt. Dora.  The Hotel is so picturesque!
Ken and I were "starved" by the time we headed back to the CG so we stopped at a local place called The "Dam" Smoker for a pulled pork sandwich.  An interesting place with excellent food at such reasonable prices and only about 1 mile from the CG.

We got back to Willie around 4:30, unloaded, and then decided it was time to work on our 10,000 steps.  We only had about 3,000 when we returned.  It is an effort to get  the needed steps when you only have a small amount by that time of day.  We started hiking around the CG stopping to see a Great Horned Owl nest in the back of the CG.  What a beautiful site to behold!  The mother returned to the nest to feed her 2 babies.  We were there watching them for quite awhile!

This nest was huge!!

We think this is the mother, but we aren't quite sure!
Hopefully add'l pictures another day so we can be certain!

2 Baby Great Horned Owls!

They are so "fluffy" looking!

Then we took a detour to the shuffleboard courts for another "tournament".  Ken had another unsuccessful attempt at beating me!  More walking after the game and it took us till 6:45 to get our steps.  We were so ready to be done!  We are looking forward to a relaxing evening!

Tomorrow is another day and another tournament!
He can only hope it gets better!
