Sunday - Our 1st Full Day in Florida!

After a very good night's sleep, Ken was up about an hour before me to do his reading and morning routine.  I did my stretches and devotions before getting out of bed around 7:45. Then we went over to Ernie and Noela's and sat on the outside patio drinking our hot beverages, sharing stories, and then deciding on our plans for the day.

I got ready and Ken went outside to unload the bikes and clean out the car including washing the windows.  We ate breakfast, I packed some snacks and drinks, and by 10:45 the 4 of us were on our way to Honeymoon Island State Park to enjoy some relaxing time in the beautiful sunshine at the beach.  None of us had been there before and it really was a great beach with very white, powdery sand a lot like the sand at Siesta Key Beach.  We did some walking along the shoreline where there were lots of shells, but most of them were broken.  Ken took a really long walk but the 3 of us went back to do some reading.  It was a gorgeous day with temperatures near 80.

Quite a beautiful beach!

Had a very natural look!

It looks like snow, but the sand is so white!

Lots of shell pieces!

Honeymoon Beach had 2 weddings
today!

Ernie and Noela went in the water and
enjoyed the action of the waves!

Starting to cool off and get a bit cloudy when we were
ready to leave!

This guy crossed the road in front of us when we were leaving!

We left the beach around 4:30 and headed back towards the CG, stopping at Whiskey Joe's, a recommendation from a lady Ernie and Noela had met in the Keys that was from this area.  It was a beautiful setting along the water and the food was excellent.  We sat outside on their upper deck overlooking the water and the firepits below.

So nice to be back with Ernie and Noela!

What a great place to eat - a beautiful setting!

Our 1st Florida sunset for this trip - gorgeous!

We were back to the CG around 6:45 and Ken spent time hooking up the septic hose.  We both showered, Ken sent some messages to his friends and buddies, and I worked on this blog.  Ken had gone through the pictures he had taken today and I downloaded the ones he saved.  Both of us felt rather tired, and by 9 we called it a day.

It is so nice to be back in Florida and sharing time with special friends!
