Thanksgiving Day!

Ken was up before me (surprise!), we got ready, ate a light breakfast, and left at 9:15 to go to Jamie's.  We did make several stops including one at Dan and Jackie's to drop off some cards I had made for her.  We got to Jamie's at 10 and what a fun day!  Her in-laws, Dan and Sue and Dane's brother, Brent, were there also.

Cali certainly loves Samson!

We spent most of the day in the kitchen chatting, helping prepare food, and cleaning up!.  Jamie had done a lot of work ahead of time, but it was great working together and enjoying each other's company.  We had a delicious dinner including Jamie's 1st turkey that she made in her oven (usually they deep fry one!), mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, corn, roasted brussel sprouts, and cranberry salad.  Bria and Cali had baked a pecan pie for dessert and Sue added an ice cream dessert.  It was wonderful.  Ken, Sue and I spent a lot of the afternoon playing games with Bria and Cali.

Bria likes to be a kitchen helper!

Looks good enough to eat!

We have so much to be thankful for!

Fun playing games with the girls!

Bria and I played war and she was the winner!

Looks like some serious chatting!

A man's work is never done!
We left there around 5:15 and Jamie's family were leaving tonight to go with Sue and Dan (Brent too) to their beach house at Rehobeth for a long weekend.  Ken and I still had plenty to do before departing for Florida early tomorrow morning, so it worked out well for everyone.

Brent, Cali, and Bria!

What a great family!

Ken and I feel so blessed to share life with these special people!

It was in the low 20's when we got home and we felt frozen till we had the frig and freezer loaded in Wilbur and also took out a few more items.  There were numerous items that had to wait until we are ready to "pull out"!  We did some reading and by 8:30 we decided to go to bed.  I set the alarm for 2:30 because we hope to be on the road by 3:15.
