Belhurst for Lunch and Kayaking

Another very special day for the 4 of us!  After a quick breakfast, we headed to Geneva NY to walk around the tip of Lake Seneca on the trail at the park.  What a beautiful area.  After about a 3 mile walk, we drove about 3 blocks to a local Farmers Market that is open every Thursday in the in town parking lot - some crafts, food, homegrown veggies, and some wine tasting.

This is a view of Belhurst from the tip of Lake Seneca
probably a mile away!

The local Farmers Market in downtown Geneva!

From downtown Geneva, we headed to Belhurst Winery for their luncheon buffet.  What a deal.  For $12.95 you get 2 soups, numerous unique salads plus tossed salad, a sandwich of the day, and then 3 hot meats and several hot veggies.  The food was positively delicious. It also included refillable non-alcoholic beverages.  The  bonus was that we could sit outdoors on the patio overlooking Lake Seneca.  Good food, drinks, and a view!  What more could you want!  It really was a special treat and all of us would recommend going there if you are in the area!

Then we drove to Canadaigua Lake where Sam and Kathy rented a double kayak and we inflated our Sea Eagle and we spent about 2 hours paddling Lake Canadaigua.  Another gorgeous area.  The water is crystal clear and so warm.  No pictures from our kayaking.  Ken has a new camera and did not want to risk having it get wet or fall into the water!

After a stop at Wal-Mart for some groceries, we arrived back at the CG around 7:15- another long, but fun-filled day.  Ken and I spent time drying the kayak and then folding it and packing it up for tomorrow's travel day.  Can't believe it is time to move on.  These four days went so quickly.  We did have time to play 2 games of Bocce and the men won again.  What is our problem???? Maybe a new CG will be the answer for Kathy and I.  Either they are extremely lucky, or we have lost our touch!!!

We will be leaving for Wellesley State Park tomorrow morning and have about a 4 hour drive.  Should be another beautiful area!
