Spent Day in Cape Vincent

Today was another very hot day with plenty of sunshine!  That seems to be the weather ever since we left Lanc. County!  After a quick breakfast we drove to Capt Vincent, approximately 20 miles from our CG.  Every year near Bastille Day they have a colorful French Festival to celebrate their French history.  French pastries and bread are a must while watching Nepoleon lead the parade.  They also had about 100 craft vendors there selling their homemade crafts.  It was the 44th annual French Festival and it was a lot of fun.  The parade lasted about 1 hour with many fife and drum corps plus numeous bagpipe groups, but so hot.  We had arrived at 10:30 and left around 4.

Can't imagine how much French bread was sold!

Enjoyed some of the French pastries!

Napoleon escorted the queens of the Festival!

We enjoyed talking to this vendor.  She made beautiful
jewelry from sea glass that she finds.  She has lived
on a sailboat for the last 9 years!

Such a small village with so many folks there to take
in the festivities!

On the way back, we stopped to check out a 2005 Winnebago Journey that was For Sale by Owner.  What a nice 36' motorhome.  They had bought it new in 2006 and due to health concerns, need to sell.  It is immaculate and only has 9600 miles.  Ken would love a diesel pusher for a trip out west, but we also enjoy our 5th wheel, Willie!  Just fun to look at other options!

Had an easy supper when we got back to the CG after alittle relaxing.  We walked down to the lake to see the sunset and then played ladder golf.  The women actually won a game tonight!  Felt good

Osprey in the park near our campsite!

The sun thru the trees almost looks like a fire!

The sun is close to setting and the reddish color
is coming thru the trees!

The setting sun's reflection on the water.  Such
beautiful colors!

Another day ends!

Tomorrow we are planning to take a 2 hour boat ride from the CG that will take us to Boldt Castle for a tour of the property.
