A Cooler, Less Humid Day!

Last evening we had a thunderstorm and some heavy rain, but not very long.  We woke to a cooler morning with much lower humidity - a welcome change!  Ken did some work outside to dry off things from the rain while I got fruit ready for breakfast.

Cindy and John made breakfast for all of us, so we met at their site at 9 for delicious banana/chocolate chip pancakes, sausage and bacon.  Martins and us provided the fresh fruit.  What a wonderful breakfast.  We went to our separate units to clean-up and met again around 11:45 to drive to Cape May for a bike ride. It was perfect weather for that activity.

We parked on a side street near the Sunset Point Road that goes directly to Sunset Point.  It is about a 2 1/2 mile ride till you get to Sunset Beach.  We had a good time walking the beach looking for beautiful pebbles, not shells.  There are only a "handful of shells" on that beach area, but lots of smooth pebbles of all sizes.   We enjoyed walking through the Gift Shoppe and then had delicious sandwiches (the Sunset Hamburg and the Cheese Steaks) sitting outdoors overlooking the ocean at the Sunset Grille.  It may not look like a great place but the food is very good.  We rode back to Cape May and continued into the downtown area checking out the houses of the 8 sisters and then the shopping area.  We rode about 8 miles, quite a lot for Cindy's 1st major bike ride!

Cindy and John headed back to the CG and the 4 of us went to sample wines at the Cape May Winery, but I was only a spectator! (Wine really isn't my thing!)  It is a lovely winery.  Then to the Trolley Car Stop for ice cream before heading back to the CG.  What a fun day.

I only held the glass for the photo!

No wonder I don't eat banana splits!  They are "scary"!

Everyone came to Waldo for our game playing evening, but 1st I spent some time helping Cindy and John get their blog up and running!  We did their 1st post! After playing a game of Up the River with Doloris being the winner, Cindy and John headed back to their motorhome, Harvey!  Martins and us played 2 games of Skip-Bo before calling it a day at 11:30.  (We each won a game!)  This was a wonderful day!
