Ken and I were up by 6:45 and got ready to head to the Hershey RV Show. Today is Senior Day and it opens at 9, so we were there by the time it opened.
We went right to the Encore Booth to make our camping reservations for Oct, Nov, Jan, Feb and March. We got to talk to our contact at Thousand Trails, Josh, who is there for the entire show. I had met him for the 1st time at the show last year after talking to him many times via phone and e-mail. It was so good to see him again and we really appreciate the help he gives us regarding our Encore membership (zone pass) and making some reservations. While there, we met several couples whom we see every year at Pine Island and had a great time "reconnecting" with them. By the time we left the booth around 10:45, we had talked to so many of our camping friends and had all our reservations made - wow! We did some more walking around the inside booths and Ken renewed his Good Sam's Road Service. From there we went outside to look at the new Winnebago Motorhomes for 2015. They are making some "retro models" for their 50th Anniversary and they are so interesting, well made, and innovative. The 2015 Sightseer Model is almost identical to our 2014 model. Very few changes have been made!
We left the show at 1:15 and drove back to Sea Pines arriving at the CG around 5:15 after a stop for lunch and at Acme for a few groceries. The campfire was burning when we arrived and since we had thawed our salmon and steak before we left we were able to join the camping group for a delicious dinner and a time of fellowship. We played cards at Martins and got to bed around 11:30. It was another great day and the trip to the RV Show was sooo worth it to get the good deals for our trips to Florida!
