Ken took a walk when we got up and I got some additional things ready for our trip to Avalon. We left home at 10 to go to Jamie's house. She invited me to visit with her while Ken was at his Dr. appt. (She knows how nervous and concerned I get when we have Dr. appts.) It was so kind of her to recognize that and keep me entertained. We knew before the appointment that Ken had one blood test that was reading rather high and he also was experiencing some chest pain. Both red flags for me, the worrier!!!!! He only got back alittle after noon following his 10:50 appt. The Dr. had no concerns regarding his blood test and all of his numbers were extremely good. They did do an EKG in the office and found a small abnormality, so a stress test is being ordered for when we return. Ken remembers having heard that same "verbiage" about 15 years ago when he was having some chest pain, and it turned out to be nothing. So, we are hoping for the same results!
Ken and I walked with Jamie to meet Cali's kindergarten bus. Cali was so excited to see us. We left after walking back to their house. We packed up the last minute items, hooked up the CRV and were on our way to Costco to get Ken's blood pressure medicine by 1:20. Got a few items there, ate a little lunch, and then off to Avalon. My sister Cindy and her husband, John had gotten there around 12:30 and Martins were there by 11. We arrived at 5:30, so happy to have all our Dr. appts before us for right now.
After getting set up, we all sat around chatting before having dinner. Then we played Cue Me in Martin's 5th wheel and had a very silly evening. This should be a fun camping adventure!
