We have had a great time sharing great adventures and experiences together! |
We drove to the Church we attended last Sunday and parked Waldo and the CRV in a Shopping Center parking lot across the street and enjoyed another great and inspirational service. It is quite a special Church! We were on our way to Naples by 11. Talked to my mother and sister on the drive and both are doing well.
Club Naples is a very nice CG (we have stayed here 2X's before), but the sites are very close and there is not much parking for your vehicle. We didn't have trouble getting into our site and were all set-up by 1:45. Both of us were tired, so we ate lunch and Ken took a short nap. I just relaxed.
We left the CG at 4 and drove to the Encore Park at Ft. Myers Beach where my sister and her husband are staying. We were there by 5. Good to see both of them. Cindy, Ken and I left their CG at 5:15 to go to a free Sandi Patty concert at a nearby Church. The CG had gotten 20 tickets for reserved seating, so we did not have to stand in the loooooong line to get in, but we did have to wait from 5:45 til the concert started at 7. John did not come along, but gave his ticket to someone in the CG who decided they would like to go about 2 hours before the concert. I don't think John's arm had to be twisted too much for him to relinquish his ticket!!!!!
This church has 7 or 8 free concerts from Jan. to March with top name Christian artists. The next one is Dino. This concert was fabulous and so inspiring. Sandi's son also did some singing and was terrific. The 3 of us had such a good time! Ken and I were so thankful that Cindy invited us to attend. Ken and I had attended Sandi Patty concerts about 25 years ago and her voice is still as beautiful now as it was then. Those of you who were in the choir at Ephrata Church of the Brethren when I directed will remember going to her Hershey concert as a group in the Church bus. We left their CG around 9:30 and got back to Club Naples by 10:30. It has been another busy day!
We are so excited to be meeting our friends, Barry and Deb tomorrow. We have not seen them since last January here in Naples. We look forward to a funfilled week with them - biking, walking, kayaking, etc.
