A Day to Stay on Pine Island!

Ken and I were up at 7:15 and got ready to go to the pickleball court.  By 8 Melissa and Chuck were here and we walked to the court at the front of the CG.  It was a bit cloudy and we even had a few "sprinkles" while we played, but we had so much fun.  All of us played well today and we had some nice volleys.  We kept rotating partners and we played about 1 1/4 hours.

Back to Waldo where I made breakfast while Ken inflated our kayak and the seats so we could display it with a FOR SALE sign.  We would really like to sell it before we head back to PA.  Ken made another call to Lazydays with no success.  It is now getting very frustrating that we are unable to talk to anyone or have anyone return our calls, e-mails, or text messages!  We did talk with our salesman and he is trying to help, but his ability to work with the service department is limited.  I did spend some time talking with Bill and Donna who live in Pottstown.  They are leaving for Ramblers Rest tomorrow morning and I wanted to chat before they left.  We usually see them here every year and at the Hershey RV Show.

At 12:30 we went on a bike ride with Chuck, Melissa, Neil and Nancy towards St. James City.  We went through some developments and stopped at the Key Lime Tiki Hut for a drink.  It was warm and sunny so we went back to the CG by 2:30 so we could go to the pool.  When we arrived at the pool, Chuck, Melissa, Ken and I played a game of shuffleboard which the men won.  These courts are cement and rather slow, but it was still fun!  Then it was time to relax in the pool and hot tub.

A bike ride on the back streets of St. James City

We rode back to a pond/lake and saw numerous birds
like this ibis!

A Great Blue Heron!

You will often find Melissa behind the lens!

We saw these beautiful flowers along our ride!

There wasn't much shade at the picnic table, but I found a
great seat!

The Happy RVer's, Bikers, and Happy Hour folks!

We were seated right along the canal at the Low Key Tiki Hut!
Nancy did a toast thanking Ken and I for suggesting they'
camp on Pine Island.  We are so glad they did!

On the way back to the CG, this gopher turtle was along the
bike trail.  Didn't appear to be bothered by us bikers!

Ken got another picture of the eagle and eaglet on their nest!

Back to Waldo by 4:30 to shower and rest.  All of us felt very tired!  So, Ken and I decided to take a little nap, something I hardly ever do!  But, both of us slept about an hour - wow!  Ken grilled chicken and a pork chop while I made salads and quinoa.  We ate, cleaned up, and went to Chuck and Melissa's to play cards at 7:15.
