Another Gorgeous Day in Paradise!

Ken and I were up at 7:15 and on our way to the Pickleball Court with Chuck and Melissa at 8:00.  It was sunny but a bit breezy.  We had another fun time playing and changing partners throughout our 1 1/2 hours of playing.  We are happy that no one else in this CG appears to play tennis or pickleball.  The court is always available.

We walked out of Waldo to go to the Pickleball
Court and the sun was just rising!  What a view!

Here come Chuck and Melissa for our walk to the pickleball
court.  Don't you love her new outfit for the game?

Melissa played exceptionally well today.  I think it was
the new outfit!!!!  She wants to get another one!

Ken took this picture of the eagle sitting on the tower near
where we were playing pickleball!

We passed Neil and Nancy sitting on the bench when leaving the
courts.  Another Kodak moment!!!

We were back to Waldo by 10:15 and made omelettes for breakfast.  We called Lanie and talked to her and Katelyn.  They are doing well.  Katelyn will soon be 4 and she talked so nicely on the phone.  Ken did the dishes while I posted our expenses on our budget program and then sent animals photos to our granddaughters.  Ken did work on his computer too!  Both of us felt tired, probably the time change, so we decided to rest a little.  My sister called right after we went to rest, so no napping!

After lunch, we got together with Chuck and Melissa to take a bike ride towards St. James City, weaving in and out on the side streets checking out the homes. There are so beautiful areas on Pine Island.  We stopped at the end of the island to check out the view of Pine Island Sound and the bridge over to Sanibel.  We are only a "stones throw away" from Sanibel Island if you took a boat, but you have to go "out around" when driving there. There is usually so much traffic and it takes about 40+ minutes.  We were back to Waldo around 4 and we were hot after riding 15 miles.  It was about 84 degrees and very sunny. Fortunately there was a nice breeze!

The scenery and clouds were beautiful!

You have to love the beautiful vegetation including the
gorgeous palms!

Not a bad place to live and it overlooks the water!

Osprey

Pelicans really are "BIG"!

Not a bad setting for these homeowners!  They can look across
the water to the bridge going over to Sanibel!

Chuck wants to big like the "big boys"!

I talked to my Mother and then at 4:30 we skyped with Jamie, Bria and Cali for 35 minutes and had such a great conversation.  It was so good to see and talk to them.   Then it was time to try for another short nap - no sleep but we rested for about 30 minutes. Then showers, dinner, and clean-up before heading to Neil and Nancy's campsite for a campfire!  Unfortunately the no see ums were so bad no one was able to sit outside and not be "swatting" every few seconds. So,no chance to enjoy a campfire tonight, but we appreciated that Neil and Nancy gave it a try!  Thanks for the invite!

We spent the evening playing games with Chuck and Melissa inside Waldo. Another night where the men won all the games!  What is that about?  We called it a night at 10:45 and went right to bed.  "Nother Best Day"!
