Beautiful Day on Ft. Myers Beach!

Ken and I went to Ft. Myers Beach on the "Big Red Bus" owned by the CG that left at 9 this morning, but not before we stopped to say our goodbyes to Chuck and Melissa.  They were leaving around 11 this morning and we were sad to see them leave.  We only arrived at the beach at 10:30 and only had 3 hours to spend there before having to return to the bus.  Just not enough time for such a gorgeous, sunny, and warm day.  It was in the low 80's with just a slight breeze - perfect!  We spent our time reading and walking the beach and pier.  Of course we had to look for shell pieces for my "jewelry habit".  We really were disappointed to get back on the bus at 1:30 for the 1 1/4 hour ride back to the CG.  It is a convenient way to go, but next time we will probably drive so we can stay longer.

Searching the beach for jewelry shell pieces!

I think they pay this pelican to sit on the pier every year!

A busy day on the beach!  Hard to imagine it is this warm
when you are in PA!

Fun watching this guy scare the crowd when he "comes
to life".

The center area of downtown Ft. Myers Beach - lots
of outdoor cafes!

We had numerous nice phone chats today with our friends and family back home.  Kathy, Lanie, Jamie, Bria, Wendy and Kevin - thanks for taking the time to talk with us.

I worked on some jewelry and enjoyed spending time chatting with Nancy Savage.  They will be leaving tomorrow to head back home since Neil has to return to work.  They had planned to stay another 5 weeks, so it is disappointing for them to have to return to the cold.  We will miss having them here.  We have had lots of fun times together!

We are looking forward to another relaxing day tomorrow!
