Time for Some Exercise!

Ken and I decided it was time to take a walk on Pine Island.  So, we got up at 7:15 and were on our way to walk the 3 miles to the end of the Island at St. James City.  We realized at 8:30 that we could not walk the entire distance and still get back to the CG in time for the 10:00 church service.  We had to make a choice - the walk or church!  We mutually chose to continue the walk and listen to the LCBC church service when we got back to Willie!  It was a good decision.  We really enjoyed the walk and the tremendous sermon!  A win/win!!!

After breakfast we spent time chatting with Neil and Nancy and then we all headed to the pool around 2, spending time in the hot tub!  Around 3:00 Melissa and Chuck from Tennessee and fellow campers we met at the RV-Dreams Rally at Hershey in Sept of 2011 walked into the pool area looking for Ken and I.  They had seen Willie in the CG and since our truck was there but not our bikes, they figured we would be nearby.  So good to see them again.

At 5:15 we all met in the clubhouse for the Super Bowl Party, including Coy, Betsy, Regina and Paul, Chuck, Melissa, Nancy and Neil.  We had a great time together.  This is our 4th Super Bowl Party at Pine Island and was definitely the smallest group.  Talked to Ed and Sandy who organize the party and work here at the CG.  They said this year has been a slow one for the CG - there are many empty sites and they aren't sure why!  It seems to be the case in many of the Florida CG's.

We left the clubhouse right before halftime to watch the rest of the game in Willie.  We wanted to actually see some of the game!!!!  What an exciting Super Bowl Game!

What a nice trail for walking and riding bike!  It goes from
one end to the other of Pine Island - 17 miles!

One of the Palm Plantations on Pine Island.  The palm
trees are so beautiful and plentiful!

One of the many painted electrical poles on Pine Island -
Leaping Lizards!!!

The city limits of St. James City!  Not much in the city
except places to eat!  No stores!  A city in name only!

Ibis!

Ken enjoyed the beautiful flowers we saw on our walk,
especially the Bird of Paradise - his favorite!
